My Scientific Background and Curriculum

Surgical excellence is not a result of chance, but of years of rigorous training, clinical practice, and constant research. As a plastic surgeon, I combine my private practice at Clínica Anubis (Av. de Francia, 19) with complex reconstructive body and breast surgery at La Fe Hospital in Valencia. I also actively collaborate as a teaching professor at the University of Valencia, primarily within the Anatomy and Embryology Unit.

The Necessary Training for Excellence in Plastic Surgery

Becoming a top plastic surgeon in Valencia is not an easy path. This city is home to some of the best plastic surgeons in Spain for breast augmentation, breast reduction, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and other cosmetic procedures. Below, I have included a summary of my training as a cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon (although, as I always say, “not everything is in the books“… it is always better to speak in person to build the necessary trust and take the next step).

Origins

After winning the National High School Extraordinary Award, I graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), earning the Excellence Scholarship for six consecutive years.

Specialization

I completed my specialized medical residency (via the competitive MIR system) in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at the University and Polytechnic Hospital La Fe in Valencia (where I currently continue to practice). This included advanced training in the Functional Breast Unit, focusing on reconstructive breast surgery and breast reduction.
Furthermore, I completed my advanced training in aesthetic plastic surgery at IMED Hospital in Valencia (my current hospital of choice for major cosmetic surgery procedures). I also participated in the clinic of Dr. Pedro Cavadas in Valencia in 2021, sub-specializing in reconstructive microsurgery.
Finally, in addition to my MIR specialization in Plastic Surgery, I completed an additional Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery during the years 2021 and 2022, certified by the European University Miguel de Cervantes.

PhD Cum Laude

I defended my doctoral thesis, titled “Study of the anatomical characteristics of the superficial veins of the extremities for their use as interposition grafts and vascular loops in free flaps,” on October 18, 2022, at the University of Valencia. It was awarded the highest grade of Outstanding Cum Laude.

  • Medical specialty (via MIR) in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at the University and Polytechnic Hospital La Fe in Valencia, graduating as the Best Specialist of my class.
  • Advanced training in the Functional Breast Unit in reconstructive breast surgery and breast reduction.
  • Advanced training in aesthetic plastic surgery at IMED Hospital in Valencia, where I currently perform my private practice interventions.
  • Advanced training at Dr. Pedro Cavadas’s Clinic in Valencia in 2021, which allowed me to perform reconstructive microsurgery at La Fe University Hospital in Valencia.
  • Additional Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery during the years 2021 and 2022, certified by the European University Miguel de Cervantes.

I defended my doctoral thesis, titled “Study of the anatomical characteristics of the superficial veins of the extremities for their use as interposition grafts and vascular loops in free flaps,” on October 18, 2022, at the University of Valencia. Awarded the outstanding Cum Laude distinction.

The best plastic surgeons in Spain and Valencia must include teaching in their regular activities for the successful training of new specialists.

Throughout my career, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to participate as a professor and tutor in multiple prestigious national training institutions:
